The GMS-8x8 is a compact headend for satellite distribution in CATV systems.

Providing 8 independent DVB-S/S2 inputs and 8 DVB-T output channels, it can redistribute an high number of programs. Decoding capability is provided by two Flex-CAM modules.

This is well suited for hotels, hospitalities and managed complexes.

Remultiplexing and flexibility: Each SD/HD input program can be distributed over any output channel. Two DVB-T output modulators are supplied, each programmable to deliver up to four adjacent RF channels.


Flex-CAM: Programs from different inputs can be freely associated to any of the two CAM modules to be decoded.

PID filtering: Only needed PIDs for each program can be selected for output translation, providing an efficient bandwidth occupation.


PID Remapping: Each output channel is arranged with a predefined empty program list with established NIT, TSID, PID and LCN values. Actual input programs can then be associated to each list's position: this way, TV devices don't need to be tuned when the program list on the channel is updated, allowing for fast TV scheduling changes (e.g. an hotel that arranges TV service basing on host nationality).


Advanced software control with Cloud access: The GMS-8x8 is programmed and controlled with GDS Manager software, using LAN connection; control is provided both locally and through remote access, using a proprietary Cloud service.


Backup configuration and password control: Configuration can be saved for backup or to be replicated on other devices; access to configuration can be password-protected.

Logger and installation report: Events are stored in local memory for later cosulting; a report with full configuration can be generated as installation evidence.


Performance: MER greater than 40 dB (42 dB typical).
