GMS headends represent a compact solution to realize a large-size satellite distribution system in a multi-user environment.
Features
8 SAT inputs
Each DVB-S/S2 input has an independent power supply source, with 22 kHz tone generation capability and DiSEqC 1.0 compatibility.
8 output MUX
Each output MUX can distribute programs from any input (Full Multiplexer), with PID filtering and user-selectable parental control. The MUX structure with a locked program list allows changing programs without the need for TV re-tuning (PID Remapping); LCN control (LCN Monitor) ensures unique LCN assignment across all output MUXes.
FLEXCAM SLOT
FlexCAM technology ensures that every hosted CAM module can process programs received from any input.
Programming
GMS headends are connected to a RJ45 Ethernet port and managed using the free GDS Manager software, which allows fine tuning along advanced maintenance and administration operations.
CLOUD
The software connection to an headend can be both local and remote, using the free Cloud GD Service. Access to the system can be password-protected.
MER
The GMS series boasts an output MER greater than 40 dB (typically > 42dB)
Remultiplexing and programmable MUX
The GMS headends are equipped with two independent modulators, each capable of generating up to 4 adjacent DVB-T MUXes freely programmable in the TV range. Each MUX can distribute services coming from any input, and all its characteristic parameters are customizable: NIT tables, LCN list, Program ID list, and MUX ID.
Parental Control
Each individual output program can be protected with parental control for all possible age values.
Administration and maintenance
Advanced functions such as configuration backup/restore (even on a different system), reset, firmware update, and installation report are accessible through the GDS Manager software.
FlexCAM
The FlexCAM technology allows each hosted CAM to decode programs coming from any input.
Tivùsat certification
The GMS series is Tivùsat certified. A single headend equipped with two Tivùsat professional CAM + SmartCard kits, can transmit up to 17 HD programs among the ones provided by the italian platform. This, along with all the advanced features, makes the GMS series an optimal solution for broadcasting the Tivùsat program bouquet.
